Our Mission
Mission:
Educate communities about the Lao culture and traditions to connect our American identity with our Lao identity.
Vision:
Our vision is to preserve our heritage and promote awareness of Lao culture for our community.
Statement:
As first-generation Lao Americans, our vision is to teach and promote our culture and heritage for our community. On the decline in newer generations, we want to connect our American identity with our Lao identity and provide the space to promote, teach our culture, and help the community.
The inspiration came from a fundraiser hosted by the Laotian American Society in 2019. Our brother Mitchell immediately became inspired by the people and the message they were bringing to the community. Since then, he has been eager to assist the community in learning about our culture. When Mitchell passed suddenly in the spring of 2022, we knew it was now or never to begin what he desired. So today, we are providing the grounds to teach and promote while integrating our traditions to blend with the American culture.

Laotian Dance Association started out in 2022 with just a few people coming together to connect everyone with Lao Culture through dances. Little did they know that it would grow into the thriving Dance Group it is today. Our dedicated members enjoy meeting often for different events and activities. Passion and enthusiasm go hand-in-hand with everything we do.
Our door is always open to new members, no matter their experience level. We are proud to bring together people from all over and beyond. Come join us at our next event — we’d love to share all that Laotian Dance Association has to offer.
